Let us Pray…
Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that you have done for us. We thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love.
We thank you for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving care which surrounds us on every side.
We thank you for setting us at tasks which demand our best efforts, and for leading us to accomplishments which satisfy and delight us.
We thank you also for those disappointments and failures that lead us to acknowledge our dependence on you alone.
Above all, we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ; for the truth of his Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame temptation; for his dying, through which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom.
Grant us the gift of your Spirit, that we may know him and make him known; and through him, at all times and in all places, may give thanks to you in all things. Amen.

Our condolences and prayers go out to the Horbert family, as Frank’s mother, Yolanda Horbert, passed away on Wednesday. The funeral is out-of-state.

Several months ago, I asked the people of Intercessor to fill out a Spiritual Inventory. Many of you responded and for this we are thankful. The report now gives us an idea of how we can as a Church grow in the Lord and become totally Christ Centered in our worship and our ministry. In this report I am giving you a summary of the findings. Over all, we are in the top 25% of churches in America when it comes to Spiritual health. The report showed that an above average number of our people are already living Christ Centered lives and that there is a rather significant population that is growing in Christ. The report also showed that we have an above average number of people who are in daily prayer and study of Holy Scripture. It showed that our people are looking for ways to serve others and want to grow in their use of spiritual gifts and talents. We also had an above average number of people who tithe in obedience to God’s Word. It also showed that as a Church people are interested in more Bible Study. As I have often said, thought, and believe Intercessor is a good Church having been blessed by our God in so many ways. I also say and believe that our Father wants us to be a great Church. As we surrender to Him and are faithful in the Spiritual Disciplines of Prayer, Bible, Service, Small Groups, and Giving we will be that Church.

Make a friend, be a friend, and bring a friend to Christ….
What? Who me? …….. Yes you can!
Jesus said, “No greater love can a man have than to lay down one’s life for a friend.”
Do you love your friend enough to bring him or her to Christ? Would you at least introduce them? His love is too great to hold it to yourself!
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within reach of your saving embrace. So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you; for the honor of your name. Amen
