Bishop Visits Home School Enrichment Program

As part of a pastoral visit, Archbishop Craig Bates and his wife Cathy spent an afternoon with Fr. John and Robin Clifton. Robin Clifton has given oversight to a rather unique education program that now occupies the entire parish hall of a Methodist Church and provides educational enrichment to over 100 children.

The vision for the Enrichment program began in 1991 when the Clifton’s, who home school their children, faced the problem of having to offer their daughter teaching in areas that they didn’t feel qualified to teach. They reached out to other home school parents who were facing a similar problem. Now courses are offered in history, advanced math, Latin, Chemistry, Speech/Debate, as well as music.  For more, see article on CECHOME using link in right hand column…
