Our ministries to children and youth are designed to supplement the training provided in the home. According to the Bible, parents have the primary responsibility for helping their children learn about God and His ways. This training has as its goal fostering our children’s’ relationship with God thereby helping them to hear and obey God’s voice.
Bishop says this is the most important thing we can do for them.
Godly character and Biblical knowledge are the fruit that shows in children who have been taught at home from their youth (2 Timothy).
As partners with the home, our dedicated teachers ask that you enhance your child’s Sunday School learning experience by:
Reading the Bible stories with your child before class. See below for list of readings for your child’s class.
Having your child bring his/her Bible to class
Leaving toys, video games and other electronic devices with parents
Reviewing the take-home materials after class. This can be a wonderful time of sharing and can help you see how your child views his or her relationship with God.
There are a number of different Children and Youth ministries at the Cathedral Church of the Intercessor. Below is a list of different ministries that children can participate in and you might want to get involved with. Please read about the individual ministries by clicking on them.
