The women’s ministry at the Cathedral is a wonderful group of women that gather together to worship, fellowship, disciple, encourage and minister. Each year we are inspired by a theme that God faithfully provides. We host social events such as teas, breakfasts and luncheons. We incorporate the study of God’s word to strengthen our walk with God, our families and each other. As servants of God we help the community by providing meals when families are in need, visiting the sick and volunteering for Bridges of New York. We also serve organizations outside our church community that need and want help.
Being women there is always lots of chatting, laughing and crying, hugging and tissues! The older women disciple the younger women by sharing their life experience while the younger women bring hope for the next generation.
If you want to have fun while growing in your faith, and strengthening your relationship with other women, then women’s ministry is for you! We encourage women of all ages to come and be a part of the women’s ministry. Please join our group on Facebook, Women’s Ministry Church of the Intercessor, to get updates on upcoming events and make friends. You can also get updates here on our church website.

Women of Wisdom
Mission Statement: Women of Wisdom (W.O.W) ministry provides opportunities for women in the autumn and winter stages of life, to fulfill their calling, enrich the Body of Christ and to celebrate their experiences and maturity.
The W.O.W. women have begun to develop a “sisterhood” work among our older members. In its first year they found that social activities and outings encourage new relationships and invigorate old ones. Providing support for one another in their walk with the Lord has been beneficial at times when going it alone is difficult.
There are four main areas that W.O.W. focuses on:
Spiritual:
We pray together as a group once a month and share our answered prayers with praise and thanksgiving.
Social:
We go to the theatre, luncheons, day cruises, etc.. and enjoy the fellowship time together.
Outreach:
As we are made aware of needs and special projects, we have committed ourselves to be a part of the solution.
Learning:
We seek to provide workshops and teaching to address issues specific to our lives.
