Welcome

At Church of the Intercessor, you will find people from all backgrounds and experiences, whose desire is to know God's love and forgiveness in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an apostolic community that values the acceptance of people into the family of God. We believe that if one encounters the love of God then the purposes of God will be released in their lives. We are an active relational community. We acknowledge that everyone has both needs and a calling and is highly valued as a member of the Body of Christ. Therefore, we have various ministries in which you can find both a place to serve and also receive ministry. We know that God is working His transforming and healing power in us, even as we love and serve each other. Since those who have been forgiven much will love much, we welcome all who need and want help.

Overcomers
Overcomers

Overcomers is a Christian 12 step program designed to help people with all life controlling problems and strongholds.  Unlike other 12 step recovery fellowships, the persons who attend are not gathered around a common problem, but rather a common solution. Overcomers uses recovery literature of various kinds, having a strong emphasis on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous but an even stronger emphasis on the Bible.

Persons seeking to attend Overcomers can expect to find comprehensive teaching on each of the 12 steps of recovery in a manner that weaves traditional 12 step material and the biblical passages that correspond to the 12 steps into a beautiful tapestry.  It is a meeting in which persons can speak about their relationship with Jesus freely, ask questions, share experiences and grow in the knowledge of recovery through the lenses of the Bible.

Please note that you do not have to begin at step 1, there is no obligation to attend on a weekly basis and the program is anonymous like other 12 step programs.  For more information, please contact Deacon Eddie Pirro at hopedispenser@yahoo.com.
