Welcome

At Church of the Intercessor, you will find people from all backgrounds and experiences, whose desire is to know God's love and forgiveness in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an apostolic community that values the acceptance of people into the family of God. We believe that if one encounters the love of God then the purposes of God will be released in their lives. We are an active relational community. We acknowledge that everyone has both needs and a calling and is highly valued as a member of the Body of Christ. Therefore, we have various ministries in which you can find both a place to serve and also receive ministry. We know that God is working His transforming and healing power in us, even as we love and serve each other. Since those who have been forgiven much will love much, we welcome all who need and want help.

Pastoral Care

At Intercessor, we are committed to ministering to the spiritual, physical, and psychological needs of our members.   Pastoral Care ministries are overseen by the pastoral staff at Intercessor, but the ministry itself occurs in various forms. Pastoral visits by clergy to the sick in hospitals, nursing homes, or homebound occur regularly, and office appointments can be made for individual, couples’ or family issues in their time of need, with confidentiality.  Pre-marital counseling is scheduled by appointment and marriage seminars are run on a seasonal basis.  Sacramentally, grace is administered through the regular reception of the Eucharist, Anointing with Oil, and Confession with a priest, while Intercessory teams have also committed to pray for those who desire to make their needs known.  Ministries for those struggling with life controlling problems like Overcomers, a Christian 12-step program, or Steps to Freedom, a healing/counseling ministry are regularly available.  There are also outreach ministries to the homebound and seniors that others can participate in, such as the Good Samaritans responding in practical ways as individuals or a group to the biblical question, “Who is my neighbor, and Sufficient Grace support for those who struggle with chronic medical conditions. At In tercessor, we welcome all those who need and want help, and pray that the Lord send them in such great number that we can but only rely upon Him and His great mercy towards us.
